Rock of Cornillon and hillsides:

On the rock of a castle once sat Cornillon Delphinal, that is to say belonging to the Dauphin, the Dauphine name of the Lord. A model representing the site of the rock of Cornillon and his castle in 1339 is visible to the mill of Acacias. It was conducted by the AVIPAR (Association of Valuation and Illustration Architectural Heritage and Regional) Voreppe, from research by the Heritage Conservation of the Isere.
Forty people were living in this place rendered impregnable by its geographical position and its fortifications before the Duke of Lesdiguieres word gets out on the orders of Henri IV, during the religious wars in 1589. Some time after its destruction would end centuries of occupation of rock back to the Bronze Age. Although it is classified, the site retains few traces of its turbulent past, with the exception of some remains of walls and the water tank.
Today's Rock Cornillon is primarily a promenade served by several walking trails. It offers a view from its summit over the valley. Well oriented and his slopes representing one third of the total communal area are highlighted by the installation of recreation center Claretière. Their development potential is important and plans are under consideration.

Leisure center, leisure living 3 to 18 years:

Located in a unique setting at the foot of the rock of Cornillon, this space of 1328 m² is mainly dedicated to youth. Children and teens are supervised in their leisure activities by IFAC, delegated service. This center can accommodate up to 200 children, offers a program of activities with different themes, focusing primarily on the performing arts and multimedia.
It consists of a room for teens, a room for 6/11 years and a room for young children features a sitting area. A room entirely assigned to the computer is made available to young people, including the organization of network games. A pool on the roof of the building, allows participants to enjoy the pleasures of water and water games.
A la carte activities (sports outings and delicious, stimulating activities) supervised by qualified, multimedia (online games, network games, introduction to computer tools ...).

Happy Days the first Saturday in September:

Since 2000 a new musical experience is given to you at Fontanil! Each year more than 5000 spectators participate in the great festival of free jazz, gospel, blues and soul to international fame. The Happy Days are particularly welcomed the Golden Gate Quartet, Craig Adams, Rhoda Scott, John Carpenter ...
The association of Happy Days, seconded by Deputy Jean Reynaud community life and service in charge of cultural policy of the town, has three objectives: to outdoor musical culture available to all by providing a Free extravaganza; discover musical worlds original, diverse and rich in quality; profit association to support children suffering from Grenoble University Hospital. These objectives are realized at the Happy Days Festival which is held annually the first Saturday in September. The gains made by this association is instrumental in the Music Festival and the Christmas show for children's hospital.

Arts and crafts exhibit a weekend of December:

Every year in December, the gymnasium of Lionel Terray Fontanil turns to host the Traditional Craft Exhibition Committee Animation. The timing of a weekend, take a stroll through the aisles of the exhibition, which presents the great craftsmen skills, competing for creativity and originality.
Each exhibitor is carefully chosen by the organizers, with the paramount quality and authenticity of the exhibits. All sectors are represented craft, be it woodworking, iron, glass, porcelain, leather, fabrics, jewelry, sculpture and many others. This exhibition is a reflection of a lively craft away from the commoditization or standardization.
