Small town of Haut-Rhin, in the Grand Est region, Lièpvre takes place in Alsace, about thirty kilometers from Colmar. It is also located not far from Châtenois, Scherwiller and Sélestat.
Historic cradle of Val d'Argent, the commune of Lièpvre was born in the 8th century under the leadership of Charlemagne's chaplain, Fulrad.
The object of numerous lootings and ravages between the 10th and 14th centuries, it was subsequently the scene of numerous battles between the different territories around it.
Centered on the textile industry, it underwent a major exodus in the 1950s before experiencing a new boom around tourism and notably obtaining the Pays d'Art et d'Histoire label.
Today, the Alsatian city continues to attract visitors with its authentic charm and its architectural heritage.
