Le Bas Ségala is a new municipality resulting from the grouping of three municipalities: La Bastide-l'Évêque, Saint-Salvadou and Vabre-Tizac.
Located in the Ségala region, near Villefranche-de-Rouergue and Rieupeyroux, the town is part of a hilly landscape gently sloping towards the valleys of Aveyron and Viaur.
