The Museum of National Archeology presents in 19 rooms spread over two levels archaeological collections of international level, which retrace the life of men on the territory of Gaul from the origins to the year 1000, from the Paleolithic world to Merovingian times.
30,000 objects, objects and series are on display which testify to the evolution of techniques, artistic expression and representations of women and men who have mingled and succeeded each other on the national territory, without forgetting the exceptional collections of comparative archeology organized in the last years of the 19th century at the initiative of Henri Hubert and today presented in the Ballroom or the Salle des Comédies.
