Located south of the agglomeration of Nantes, in the Loire-Atlantique department, at the gateway to the vineyards, near the Grand-Lieu lake and 40 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, the town of Sorinières poses as a real trait Of union between the city and the countryside.
The city has more than 80 hectares of natural spaces, as well as many parks: Parc de la Filée, Bois Hippolyte-Derouet, Bois a child, a tree... It has more than 27 km of marked trails accessible to hikers and Cyclists with three circuits, all starting at the Bois Hippolyte-Derouet, close to a Chronobus stop and a camping-car reception area: the Châteaux circuit, the Forêt circuit and the Filée circuit.
Dynamic and full of life, the city has two flowers with the label "Cities and Villages Fleuris" since 2009, and obtained the label "Active City and Sports" in 2016.
